Born,
You are so right...God deserves to be seen as He is! The Sovereign Lord of the Universe, and not some poor little white haired guy up there chewing his fingernails waiting for us to make a decision so He can "choose us"...

One of the most frustrating things is this: When confronted with plain scriptures like the powerful Romans 9 argument from Paul...no synergist will even interact with it to see if he/she is correct or incorrect!

They just change the subject or stop talking...as we've seen so much on the threads of late at www.oldtruth.com

Romans 9 would be another one! I have sometimes asked the question: "If our salvation rests ultimately on or 'free will' decision, aren't we robbing God of his sovereignty? The answer (that I once believed before considering the question) is that his love and grace is so vast that he allows us to cast the final vote with our 'decision'. But that would be God giving up his own sovereignty - and he will give His glory to no other.
