What can one man do anyway?

14 04 2008

Do you evangelize? Preach? Do you ever feel like you’re not making a difference, that nobody wants your tracts or that nobody is listening?

After all, what can one man do?

Watch and listen to this account of Mr. Genor. This is called “I got off on George Street” and is available from Living Waters.

Tom,
my only advice would be to:

1) Stop commenting here as you obviously cannot keep a respectful tone to My Lord.

2.) Start your own blog.

Comment deleted due to it’s disrespectful tone.

For future reference, instead of willfully mis-characterizing Calvinism, see this link so you have an accurate basis for your questions…assuming your tone is respectful.

Thank for this. I have a brother in our Lord that has shared with me about this man’s testimony before.
I have linked this on my blog titled “Do we need to know the results?”
May you be blessed as you go out,
Richard

Rjperalta,
You are very welcome. I like your site. I see that you do a lot of street witnessing…God bless you for that and to God be the glory.

Greetings. I just found your site through Richards (The Word on the Street) and have added you to the blogroll. I plan to make this a regular visit.

Have a blessed day in Jesus.

Robert, my fellow Oldtruther, glad I found your blog tonight. You know, I have to admit that those deleted posts really make me want to know what was said. Shame on me! Keep up the good work my friend.

Joel,
I know what you’re saying, I debated within myself to allow or delete; trying to decide what would do a reader the most good here as far as “typical questions” and the answers..but in the end…my experience is that Tom’s questions are stock questions that can be answered by my “resources” information page, and that he has a tendency to use a vitrolic tone when asking.

By coincidence, this comment from Tom came in on a post the same day you asked:

Just a personal question: why all this time fighting those nasty Arminians about whether God wants to save everyone or not?
This is why I have a certain respect for Fred Phelps and his clan. His theology is clear, it’s honest, and they completely and totally understand the implications of their beliefs more than any other Calvinist.

Now…does that sound like a person who is sincerely seeking the correct understanding of scripture? You can see why I use the delete key frequently when dealing with our friend Tom…

Anyway, thanks for the props…
bob

Yep, I see your point. That guy is definitely not intersted in having a conversation – just attacking.
