I’d like to direct this to my LDS friends.
I was listening to the radio today; Way of the Master Radio. Todd was talking to an elder of the LDS church. He was pretty direct with him, he didn’t take him through the law, he didn’t talk a lot about the typical things that you’d hear from him…he just asked the elder this:
The LDS church teaches that Jesus was created…God is an exalted man who followed the gospel principles, and became a god.
Christianity teaches that Jesus existed eternally with God. There was never a time when Jesus or God the Father didn’t exist. Jesus was God in human flesh, fully God and fully man.
The bible teaches that anyone who gets this wrong; will not have God; i.e. not be saved.
“…For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Jesus as Christ coming in the flesh. This person is the deceiver and the antichrist! Watch out, so that you do not lose the things we have worked for, but receive a full reward. Everyone who goes on ahead and does not remain in the teaching of Christ does not have God. The one who remains in this teaching has both the Father and the Son.”
Now I ask you; my LDS friend. Are you willing to bank your eternity on a 150 year old religion? If you are, then you’d better be right…because that’s exactly what you’re doing.
On the other hand, If I’m wrong, then according to LDS theology, I will get a chance to hear the “gospel” in the spirit world.
Think about it.
